Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings
Some nights call for a warm bowl of comfort food, and this crockpot chicken and dumplings is it. Chicken breasts cook on high in a creamy mix of chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, diced onion and seasonings. Then you shred the chicken and add frozen peas and carrots with a splash of heavy cream. The shortcut is the dumplings: refrigerated biscuits get pressed thin, sliced into strips, and stirred right into the crockpot to cook through. Give it a stir a couple of times during that last hour so they cook evenly. It's cozy and filling, and nobody leaves anything in their bowl.
